Success for Siobhan & Indigo

Best Solo Artist
Singer songwriter Siobhan Mills, wowed the judges to win the Best Solo Artist category at this years Music Quest Grand Finals held at the Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton.

The Deansfield High pupil, who is currently taking her GCSE's won with Bryan Adams' "Everything I Do" and "It Ain't Easy", which she wrote herself. She receives £500, a plaque and studio recording time as her prize.

Best Young Band
Wolverhampton based band Indigo picked up the award for Best Young Band, playing "I Can't Explain" by the Who.

Band members Dean Reynolds (singer), John-Paul Davies (lead guitarist), Steve Coxley (bass), Ian Hughes (keyboard) and Darren Clark (drums) were both ecstatic and relieved that it was all over. They have only been together for 10 months and Ian Hughes only joined them a week ago! They also receive £500, a plaque and studio recording time.

Music Quest 2003 provided young performers and songwriters with the opportunity to show off their skills and creativity in public. The competition was organised by the City of Wolverhampton College and Sandwell College in partnership with Beacon FM and the Learning & Skills Council.
